A wonderful Copper Two Pence - 1797 (late Soho), edge plain, (BMC 1177 [KP 14]; S 3776).
Extremely fine with some original colour
The reverse dies similar to KT 1a but no stop after SOHO
7 gunports with ships flag at the stern.
An KT 4 -1b Obverse.
Details as follows:
1. From the dies similar to KT 1a and 1b. The latter variety (with small lowest berry) occurs most frequently. This example is 1b.
2. K .. on lowest fold of shoulder drapery.
3. There is a small raised flaw on the side of the head, to the left of the wreath, and another flaw in the field, directlu above the head, near the rim.

Details as follows:
1. There are two rows of waves below Britannia.
2. On rock to right appears SOHO without a stop.
3. The wave crested on the extreme right points to the H of Soho.
The ship has an ensign at the stern but is differently rigged here to that of 1a. This example is 1b and is readily recognised by having only one rope below the bowsprit. On 1a it has two ropes hanging down. The rigging is also slightly different.
